NO FAIL OREO CHEESECAKE

If you like Oreos, and you don't like to fail.... I have just the recipe for you!

This Easy as Pie recipe will have family and friends coming back for more! AND give you the added joy of being invited to many more potluck parties!

Here's the Link to the original recipe https://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/oreo-cheesecake

  • 45 Oreos

  • 1/3 C Butter

  • 3 pkg Philadelphia Cream Cheese (8oz Each)

  • 3/4 C Sugar

  • 1 C Sour Cream

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence

  • 4 Eggs

STEP ONE:

Crush 30 Cookies finely. Break up rest of cookies (15) into 1/4 size

STEP TWO:

  • Pour melted butter over finely crushed cookies, mix and press down on pan to form base of cake.

  • (I usually use the base of a cup to press cookies for the cake base)

  • Finish off by patting with your hand to check if there are any spots you may have missed out. When done, press down the sides and corners.

  • Please Note: I have increased my recipe by 1/3, hence the baking pan has increased in size. The original recipe via the link calls for a smaller baking dish from what is in my video.

STEP THREE:

Beat Cream Cheese with Sugar until blended.

Add Sour Cream and Vanilla Essence.

STEP FOUR:

Add Eggs, one at a time, on low speed unitl just blended. Do not overbeat.

STEP FIVE:

Stir in quartered cookies

STEP SIX:

Pour into pan or pie dish.

STEP SEVEN:

Bake about 55 minutes to an hour, or till centre is almost set. (Centre should be a bit springy and not hard)

Check along the way that top of cake isn't too brown. If still not fully cooked, put a tented foil cover till cake is done.

STEP EIGHT:

Let cool. Run knife around sides and remove cake from Tin.

STEP NINE:

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours

STEP 10:

Enjoy!!
